Fil-3 SrlID Nr. 4S-100106e-report version 3.0

Fil-3 started its activity in 1984 in what can be called the “Silicon Valley” of textile: the Prato Industrial District,
where each step of the production process is carried out by a company specialised for that phase. In this context
– where collaboration, flexibility and competitiveness are key factors -, the founders of Fil-3 got the idea to provide quality woollen yarns
with a wide and effective stock service, to speed up the production chain and optimise storage needs.
Creativity, innovation, and collaboration with stylists and designers manage Fil-3 collections to evolve and enrich year by year.
Our offer now includes woollen and worsted yarns, as well as yarns in linen, Tencel™, and other noble fibres
both for weaving and for circular and flat knitting. Fil-3’s researches also led to the realisation of a new, patented machine
for the production of yarns with astonishing effects in a virtually unlimited number of programmable variations. In all of this,
we always paid our attention to behave responsibly concerning the environment. In recent years, we have increased our commitment
to the traceability and control of the whole production process and achieved important quality certifications.
4SUSTAINABILITY® COMMITMENT
Growth and sustainability are the factors for which we want to stand out, founding our strategy on the belief that ethical approach should characterize our business model. We firmly believe there cannot be a long-term economic development without a social and environmental development.
Inspired to and aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations in the 2030 Agenda (SDGs), we’re committed to contributing to the generation of global positive change, assuming a clear environmental and social responsibility.
We do it concretely by joining the 4sustainability® roadmap, making the values and action programs it embodies our own, committing ourselves to starting a virtuous change journey in our business model, through one or more initiatives that we tell in this e-report.
